Growing up Peggy barely knew her mother. Even so, when she receives an invitation to visit for Mother’s Day, she can’t refuse it. Even if she half dreads returning to the Lefler House again. For decades it has been the family home—now only home to her mother.

She couldn’t imagine what her mother wanted. If it had something to do with the family, she didn’t want any part of it.
